Open Positions

Postdoc position

Within the framework of the European Horizon 2020 (FET-Open) project “PROSEQO – Protein Sequencing using Optical single molecule real-time detection” (http://singleproteinsequencing.eu/) we are seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the development, investigation, and application of fluorescent biological nanopores for DNA and protein translocation. The recruited resercher will work in an interdisciplinary and international team to prepare nanopores, conjugate them with fluorescent dyes, and investigate the translocation of molecules by fluorescence (and FRET) spectroscopy and imaging.

Candidates should have a PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or Biophysics and a strong background in the preparation and analysis of biological nanopores and/or similar protein systems. Experience in biological nanopores on chip systems and/or nanopore sequencing will also be of strong interest for the project. A general interest in optical spectroscopy, imaging, fluorescence, and FRET is desired but not a required expertise (as it already exists in the NanoBioPhotonics group).

Candidates are encouraged to submit their CV, a cover letter describing their motivation, and reference letters to niko.hildebrandt u-psud.fr.
