Postdocs

We are seeking a postdoc who is enthusiastic about science we are working on, and eligible/competitive to obtain individual postdoctoral fellowship from French/international framework.

Inquiries are welcome but should include cover letter, CV, brief statement of potential project, and contact information of 2-3 references.

Internships

We do welcome motivated internship students, and we indeed have accepted on average 2 internships per year. On principle, however, we will not accept more than 1 internship students at the same time (for the sake of both mentor and trainee). We will appreciate initiative but acceptance is not entirely first come, first serve.

Due to the complex administration processes between host institute (I2BC) and the University/School and other necessary preparations, it will take certain time to welcome internships (particularly for non-French personnel; no offense but just administration asked by the Defense and Security Office). Inquiry MUST be sent at least 6 weeks (or 3 months for non-French personnel) before the expected starting date.

We already have arranged a M2 intern for the 2024-2025 school year. Therefore, no further intern will be welcomed : you may not have reply for inquiries of internship between January and June 2025

We will come back for 2025-2026 school year. The basic information remains the same.

1/ Master 2 internship

We will post internship project(s) in following courses:

— Molecular and Cellular Biology program at Sorbonne Université

— Fundamental Microbiology program at Université Paris-Saclay

— Life Science and Health program at Université Paris-Saclay

They should be available in summer 2025. Motivated students are encouraged to write an inquiry with your CV and a dedicated motivation letter.

We strongly recommend that the internship project will be followed by thesis project: intern will subsequently apply PhD scholarship.

2/ Master 1 internship

We will post internship project(s) in following courses:

— Molecular and Cellular Biology program at Université Pierre et Marie Curie

— Fundamental Microbiology program at Université Paris-Saclay

— Life Science and Health program at Université Paris-Saclay

Motivated students are encouraged to access University website to read project proposal and welcome to write an inquiry with your CV (follow instructions written in the proposals).

3/ Short (<42 days) internship by License students, BTS students etc…

We can also welcome other students to do their internship, only if s/he qualifies and no conflict of the schedule (see above). Inquiry should direct to Dr. Yamaichi, and include motivation letter and CV that are written in English. I suggest to consult your teacher before writing me an inquiry.

4/ Alternance/Apprentissage

Here, CNRS or Univ. Paris-Saclay will be the ‘enterprise’ for these internship programs. Importantly, your project has to pass the ‘campaign’, which opens at the certain time of the year. We unfortunately cannot help inquiries that are not aware of the procedure
